Moab or Bust!

Some say that the desert is a hostile place due to it's barren wastelands and dry climate. I couldn't disagree more. I love the desert. I ache for the desert. Maybe it's because I'm a Utah girl that spent time camping in Southern Utah as a kid. Being in the desert for me is like being in total wilderness. Did you know that more than 1 billion people, one-sixth of the Earth's population, actually live in the desert, and deserts over more than one fifth of the Earth's land?! Amazing.

Moab is the bomb. Easily one of my favorite places for a quick car camping trip. Brad and I decided to cruise down after work on Friday and we got in super late so we were setting up camp in the dark. We woke to a beautiful sunrise in the middle of no where and it was pure serenity.

My friend Josh owns Paddle Moab and we were lucky enough to take a leisurely paddle down the Colorado River with him Saturday. It's so easy to get caught up in all the small things in our busy lives.  Being in a place that is so serene and calm is a nice reminder to savor the special moments and to be thankful for our beautiful mother earth.

The places to explore and things to do in Moab are endless. Excellent hiking, mountain biking, climbing, river sports, etc. If you ever need any tips on things to do or where to play in Moab, don't hesitate to ask! And if you are ever there hit up Josh at Paddle Moab for a good time on the river!
